We went to a new gardens this week
You had to be there to believe it! I can't believe I've lived in this area all my life and never visited. I'd seen the photos over the years and hadn't really paid attention to the fact this is in my own backyard. This place is absolutely magical and really, words can't do it any justice, or photos for that matter. The kids were really entertained by the fact that I was wearing sandals and they had convinced me it would only be a 400-500 meter walk in and back to the car. The most important piece of information of course was that it is actually pretty much a vertical drop down into the valley - 500 metres and then reverse that to get back to the car. Luckily for me there were guard rails alongside the path so I could hoist myself back up and the kids were hysterical watching their old mum almost having a heart attack and sandals flopping around and not staying on my feet. Good one kids!! :) But I'm glad they told me about it and convinced me to give it a shot.
This is an interesting article about the gardens. Looking at it the vertical way makes it more prettier thanks for the heads up.
